What was Greg Norman Thinking here?
Bryson DeChambeau, 30, won his second career major with a narrow one-shot victory over Rory McIlroy at the US Open at Pinehurst No.2 last weekend.
Knowing full well that he was in the form of his life right now, LIV Golf CEO Norman stepped inside the ropes on the par-3 15th while the American was contemplating his club selection alongside caddie Greg Bodine.
Norman walked onto the green and tended the flag while putting his right arm out.
"Someone is tending the flag!" said on-course commentator Dom Boulet, before soon realizing it was Norman.
A confused DeChambeau put his hand in the air as if to say 'WTF is going on here?'
and tried to wave the person off, also not knowing it was Greg Norman.
He eventually settled down and hit this beautiful shot within 10 feet!

Scottie Scheffler on a Historic Run:
First to 6 wins since Arnold Palmer in '62
Scheffler added another victory to his already stellar season by winning his sixth event at the Travelers Championship. He’s the first player to snag that many wins on the PGA Tour before July since Arnold Palmer in 1962. Pretty legendary, right?
The final round was intense. Scheffler and Tom Kim ended up tied at 22 under par after 72 holes, pushing them into a playoff. This was due to Kim hitting one of the best approach shots of his life from 131 yards out — the third bounce on the green landed an inch to the right of the cup, and settled 10 feet away. Needing a birdie to send this into a playoff, Tom Kim drained his 10 footer.
But here’s the wild part: as Scheffler was lining up his putt on the 18th during regulation play, six protestors stormed the green. They got hauled off pretty quickly, but not before leaving some residue on the green. Despite the chaos, Scheffler got a par and Kim drained his birdie putt to force the playoff. The officials moved the pin for the playoff to avoid the mess.
Here are some pics of the protesters (they look as weird as you'd think they look). On to the Playoff:
They both hit solid drives, but Scheffler's approach landed him 12 feet from the pin, while Kim found himself in a greenside bunker unable to get up and down allowing Scheffler to calmly 2 putt for par and the win. The two shared a low-key hug as any 2 close friends / competitors would in what was an interesting yet thrilling ending.

Cameron Young got off to a scoring start by scoring five under through his first four holes, and with two eagles and seven birdies, the 27-year-old New Yorker shot 11-under-par 59 on the par-70 track, becoming the 12th player to card a sub-60 round in tour history. Young's round was highlighted by a spectacular eagle at the driveable, par-4 15th, where from 280 yards he drove the green and ended up four feet from the cup for an eagle 2.

Bryson Confirms His Avoda Irons Will Soon be Available for the Public
Bryson DeChambeau's got everyone buzzing not just because of his U.S. Open win, but also due to his 3D-printed irons. He first brought them out at the Masters in April, and now everyone’s wondering when they can get their hands on them.
But are they right for you?
His irons are made by Avoda, a smaller manufacturer known for single-length and combo-length designs. Bryson's clubs are unique musclebacks with a special face curvature from heel to toe, designed to help with his super fast swing speeds. This design helps reduce severe hooks on toe hits and misses to the right on heel hits by starting the ball more to the right or left accordingly.
The only way to make these initially was through 3D-printing, a process that layers steel powder to form the shape. While these exact 3D-printed models might not hit the market due to cost, a more traditional manufacturing approach might be used.
Some experts doubt the benefits of this design for average golfers, but Bryson's thinking is way outside the box, and he's working on a new driver prototype too.
Stay tuned for more unique gear from Bryson, who’s always pushing the limits!

World Record Putt That's NOT in the Books:
Wesley Bryan, a former player on the PGA Tour and current YouTube star, made a "putt" from 144 yards or 432 feet out. I use the term putt loosely as he needed a full swing to get the ball to go that far. But regardless of how he hit, he used his putter and the ball went in the cup. But was it real?
👇 You be the judge 👇
One of his social media accounts said it wasn’t done with artificial intelligence, but that is also wasn't done on the first attempt either. In the replies to the post on the Bryan brothers’ Twitter account, the account said they hadn’t contacted the Guinness folks, but the putt would surpass the current record holder at Guinness. On its site, it lists a 401 foot, 2 inch putt as the longest to drop. (Notably, the Guinness site also lists a 111 foot, 5 inch putt, by Craig Barlow in 2008, as the longest putt made in a PGA Tour event, and it says a 110-footer, by Nick Price at the 1992 PGA Championship, is the longest putt to fall in a major.)
